Lacking governments intervention has resulted in the soaring home prices in Vancouver, leaving the city on the edge of becoming one of the most expensive cities in the world for the middle class, says the Vancouver mayor. But lacking data on foreign investments in Toronto housing markets, Mayor John Tory says it is unable to make an informed choice as whether to take on similar measure in Vancouver to tax on foreign buyers.
